Indian Cove Campground is located within Joshua Tree National Park near Joshua Tree, California, nestled amid the huge, steep rock formations the park is famous for. Situated at an elevation of 3,200 feet, the campground is particularly popular with rock climbers due to its proximity to numerous climbing routes. As one of four campgrounds in Joshua Tree National Park that requires year-round reservations, Indian Cove offers a well-managed camping experience. The park experiences its peak season from October through May, when temperatures are comfortable, ranging from 70-90 degrees during the day and 40-60 degrees at night. Summer is the park's off-season due to extreme desert heat. Visitors are encouraged to download the NPS app prior to visiting for trail maps and additional park information.
