Illiniwek Forest Preserve offers family-friendly campsites, trails, fishing, and scenic views of the Mississippi River. This 174-acre park allows for an assortment of activities and adventures. The camping season is generally the first weekend in April through the last weekend in October each year as weather permits. The park features 60 camping pads with water and electric hookups, 25 primitive camping pads, hiking and biking trails, a picnic shelter, a playground, and boat ramp access to the Mississippi River. The park's history dates back to 1944 when the Rock Island County Forest Preserve Commissioners purchased a 174-acre tract of land along the Mississippi River shoreline.
