Huntington Beach State Park is a 2,500-acre coastal park located in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, featuring 3 miles of pristine Grand Strand beach. The park is home to Atalaya, a National Historic Landmark and Moorish-style winter home of philanthropist Archer Huntington and sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington, which now serves as a cultural venue and museum. Visitors can enjoy excellent surf fishing, some of the top bird-watching on the East Coast with over 300 species spotted in the park, and opportunities to observe loggerhead turtles and other endangered species. The park hosts the prestigious Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival each September, drawing thousands of art enthusiasts.
