Huckleberry Campground is located in Richardson Grove State Park, a 1,800-acre park featuring beautiful coast redwoods along the Eel River. The park offers miles of gentle, scenic trails for hiking and exploring. Visitors can walk through the Walk-through Tree, visit the BatTree, and learn from the tree-ring study conducted in 1933. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including bald eagles, great blue herons, and pileated woodpeckers. The Eel River flows through the park, providing opportunities for wading, swimming, and fishing. The campground offers 36 campsites, including nine designated for tents only, and amenities such as flush toilets, showers, and drinking water. Visitors can also explore the park's Visitor Center and nature store, and participate in campfire programs, guided nature walks, and the Junior Rangers program. The park is open year-round, and reservations can be made for peak times.
