Highwater Camp is a small, off the beaten path, private campground and river outfitter that offers access to 30 acres of remote beach front property on the Wild and Scenic Illinois River. The campground is family-friendly, with kids 5 and under camping for free. Visitors can enjoy camping, floating, swimming, or relaxing by the campfire. The area is home to a variety of wildlife, including eagles, deer, owls, ducks, turtles, otters, turkeys, and other species. The fishing is excellent, with a healthy population of small mouth bass and other species. The campground is a great place to start exploring the greater Ozark region, with its numerous recreational opportunities.
