Hester's Bottoms Campground is a beautiful waterfront campground located in Mt. Carmel, South Carolina, situated on the 71,000-acre Strom Thurmond Lake, also known as Clarks Hill Lake. Under new management since March 2021, the campground offers 39 waterfront RV sites and five waterfront primitive sites, all equipped with WiFi. RV sites feature 50-, 30-, and 20-amp electrical services. Guests can enjoy a private boat launch, boat dock, private beach, and playground, along with three bathhouses offering private hot showers. The campground offers a variety of activities including fishing, swimming, walking, biking, kayaking, and picnicking. A rental program on-site provides golf carts, kayaks, paddleboards, and other equipment for guest use. The campground welcomes families of all ages and hosts year-round events designed for the entire family.
