Heritage Campground & Pond is a 16-acre area located at the eastern trailhead of the Heritage Trail just off Hwy 52 near Sageville, Iowa. The campground includes access to the Heritage Pond, a 9-acre pond that supports an active fish population and cold water trout. Campsites provide water and electricity, and there are also dump stations, electricity, fire rings, pet-friendly areas, picnic tables, pressurized water, and refuse cans available. The campground is open year-round, with operating hours from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm. Visitors can enjoy fishing, hiking, and birdwatching during all seasons at Heritage Pond. The campground is also connected to the City of Dubuque bike trails, providing easy access to the downtown Dubuque areas.
