Heaven's Gate RV Park and Retreat is a family-friendly equestrian destination nestled in the Winding Stair Mountains of Oklahoma, adjacent to Billy Creek and the Ouachita National Forest. Located only 40 miles from Mena, Arkansas and 18 miles from the quaint town of Talihina, the park offers a remote yet accessible retreat near the scenic Talimena Drive. The park features up to 19 campsites with electric and water hookups, two horse pens included with each site, 10 covered stalls, a 60-foot round pen, and a covered pavilion with firepit, grills, and amenities. Equestrians, hikers, and ATV enthusiasts can access over 100 miles of diverse trails ranging from wide logging roads to challenging ascents and creek crossings, with connections to the Ouachita National Recreation Trail and Cedar Lake Equestrian Trail System. Visitors can enjoy swimming in Billy Creek and the Blue Hole, dining options from the on-site Camp Host/Chef, and exploration of nearby attractions including Queen Wilhelmina State Park.
