Hart Springs has one of the Largest Spring-Fed Swimming Areas in the State of Florida. Located along the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail and the Gilchrist Blueway Trail, the park offers scenic views of the Santa Fe River and the historic Suwannee River. The Gilchrist Blueway Trail consists of 55 miles of pristine riverfronts. Visitors can take a stroll on the half-mile-long boardwalk to see the springs flow up out of the earth and merge with the Suwannee River. The park also offers unlimited choices of exploration by bicycle, connecting to the Florida Greenway trail and numerous routes on improved rural roads. Hart Springs is a family-oriented recreation area accessible by car and boat, offering Southern Hospitality at its best. However, please note that certain items are not allowed on the grounds, including alcohol, pets, intoxicated people, fishing in the swimming area, and generators. Additionally, there is no lifeguard on duty.
