About

Harbor Village Cooperative is a 55+ low-income resident-owned community located in Newport on Oregon's beautiful central coast. The park comprises 201 lots with 53 mobile homes and 148 RVs nestled in a forested setting on the Yaquina Bay. Located at the east end of Newport's Historic Bayfront, the community is within walking distance to locally owned restaurants and shops, as well as working docks and marinas featuring Newport's commercial fishing fleet and deep sea sports fishing charters. As a resident-owned cooperative, Harbor Village differs from commercially owned communities by giving every member a vote on board elections, budget approval, and rent decisions. The community is affiliated with a national network of over 300 Resident Owned Communities, providing residents access to expert support, leadership development, and peer interaction with other co-op communities.
