About

Grundy County Lake is a 255-acre recreation area located at the southwest corner of Dike, Iowa. The lake was created in 1999 as a result of highway construction and was transferred to Grundy County in 2002. The park features a 40-acre lake stocked with various fish species, including large mouth bass, bluegill, crappie, walleye, and channel catfish. The area also includes a boat ramp, access drives, and plans for future developments such as shelters, picnic facilities, and a 61-site modern campground. A hiking/biking trail was constructed in 2008, and habitat restoration has been done to create wetlands and other habitats. Visitors can enjoy fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities in this beautiful area.
