Granite Flat Campground is located in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, situated in scenic American Fork Canyon less than a mile from Tibble Fork Reservoir. This large campground sits at an elevation of 6,400 feet among dense stands of aspen, Douglas fir, spruce, and pine trees, with rugged Wasatch peaks surrounding the area. The campground offers three group sites and several single and double-family sites, most of which are accessible, along with paved roads, picnic tables, campfire rings, vault toilets, horseshoe pits, and a grassy baseball field. Visitors enjoy abundant recreation opportunities including fishing for rainbow, brook, and brown trout at nearby Tibble Fork and Silver Flat Reservoirs, canoeing, kayaking, and scuba diving. The area features numerous hiking and mountain biking trails, including the 6-mile Tibble Fork Trail and 15-mile Ridge Trail, plus nearby attractions such as Timpanogos Cave National Monument and the scenic 20-mile Alpine Loop Scenic Byway.
