Welcome to the Gateway to the Petrified Forest RV Resort, a base camp in a central location with a variety of activities for travelers as they explore many of the historical and geological sites in Arizona. The park is 22 miles to the petrified Forest, 42 miles to the painted desert, and 41 miles to Winslow Arizona and the La Posada museum and restaurant. The park features a strangely beautiful landscape with erosion-sculpted landforms and a treasure trove of fossils within multi-colored layers. The park is equipped with BBQ's and picnic tables, and the ponds are almost ready to fill. The park is working diligently to provide extra amenities and much more, and visitors can expect a relaxing stop along their way.
