Camping is at the heart of the Scouting program. The Arbuckle Area Council prides itself on its camping program. Activities include everything from day and weekend camps, unit and family campouts, to long-term camps and high adventure trips. The next National Jamboree will be held at Summit Bechtel Reserve from July 22-31, 2026. Camp Simpson offers various campsites for different types of camping experiences. The council also offers rentals for off-season use. The camping program is designed to provide a range of activities and experiences for Scouts of all ages. The council's camping program is a key part of its mission to provide outdoor education and adventure for Scouts.
