About
Esterbrook Campground is located in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests & Thunder Basin National Grassland. The campground offers dispersed camping opportunities, with no developed campsites. Visitors can enjoy various recreation activities such as biking, fishing, hiking, horse riding and camping, hunting & shooting, off-highway vehicles (OHV), picnicking, scenic drives, water activities, and winter sports. The California Park/Black Mountain area, Flat Tops Area, and Gore Range Area are some of the recreation regions within the forest. The campground is situated in Northern Colorado, on the west side of the Routt National Forest, and is home to the Elkhead Mountains.
