About

Elks Youth Camp is a free summer camp facility operated by the Arizona Elks Major Projects, located 40 miles northeast of Globe, Arizona on Workman Creek in the Sierra Ancha Mountain Range. The camp sits on 8 acres of wilderness and was built in 2012 by the Elks organization as a passion project dedicated to Arizona youth. The facility is available free of charge to non-profit youth groups such as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Brownies, 4-H, JROTC, CASA, church groups, and other youth service organizations from May through September each year. The Arizona Elks invest $60,000 to $70,000 annually to maintain the camp. Located in a remote mountain setting, the camp offers an opportunity to get back to nature, though visitors should be aware of potential hazards including bears, wolves, dangerous reptiles, flash flooding, and lightning.
