Elk Bend RV Park is located just south of Salmon, Idaho on one of the most scenic drives in the western United States. The park is famous for its abundant wildlife, where visitors can see eagles, deer, bighorn sheep, and mountain goats around the area and along the river. Guests can wake up to fabulous views of elk and bighorn sheep grazing on the mountain hillsides. The Salmon River is just across the street and offers excellent opportunities for floating and fly fishing. The park is conveniently located near the famous Goldbug Hot Springs Trailhead, which is only 1.3 miles away followed by a 2-mile hike. The area is ideal for hunting and fishing enthusiasts, with rifle hunting season for deer and elk from October 10th to November 14th, and excellent fishing opportunities year-round.
