Elfendahl Forest Campground is a hidden gem in the heart of the Tahuya Forest, offering a secluded and serene experience for campers. The campsite is surrounded by trees and vegetation, providing a rare off-the-grid experience available year-round. Campers can enjoy hiking through the ancient forests, listening to the sound of birds and the wind in the trees. The campsite is dog and family friendly, and has a whimsical fairy tale setting in some parts of the campground. One of the campsites, The Baggins Inn, is wheelchair accessible with assistance. The campsite offers various accommodations, including a refurbished school bus, a luxury glamping tent, and several campsites with access to wifi, an outdoor kitchen, an outdoor shower, and a compostable outhouse. The surrounding area offers several great destinations to eat, including Taylor Shellfish Farm's Shelton Shellfish Market, Hama Hama Oyster Saloon, and Finn River Cider Farm. The campsite is also close to several parks and nature preserves, including Theler Wetlands Preserve, Green Mountain State Park, and Olympic National Park.
