Eggleston Springs Campground is a riverside camping destination located on the scenic New River in Pembroke, Virginia, just over 30 minutes from Blacksburg and Virginia Tech. The campground offers a variety of accommodation options ranging from electric tent sites to full hookup RV sites, along with yearly and professional sites for longer-term visitors. The New River setting provides excellent opportunities for fishing smallmouth, muskie, and catfish, as well as canoeing and kayaking. The campground features a boat launch for guests, a riverfront picnic shelter available for events, and an on-site stage that hosts local entertainment. Visitors should be aware that train tracks run on both sides of the river, and trains occasionally pass through with horn blasts, which the campground notes is part of the camping experience.
