About
The Carson National Forest offers a variety of recreation opportunities, including camping and cabins, in its Abiquiu, Cabresto Canyon, Colorado Borderlands, and El Rito regions. The forest is known for its breathtaking views of large landscapes in the Rio Chama Valley, as well as its alpine lakes and rolling grasslands. Visitors can enjoy activities such as biking, fishing, hiking, horse riding and camping, hunting and shooting, off-highway vehicles, outdoor science and learning, picnicking, scenic drives, and winter sports.
