Noted for its wild brook trout fishery, scenery, history and recreational values, the rustic campground offers 19 sites for tent, small trailer and large trailer use. Anglers flock to this campground for its access to the renowned Fox River, a 'natural river' celebrated for its wild brook trout. Visitors can hike the Steeb Pathway, which is about one mile long and travels along the perimeter of King's Pond. This campground has rich history. This historic site was a working fish hatchery from 1936-1980, where families helped raise and release brook trout into the Fox River. Today, remnants of the hatchery, like concrete release slabs and storage areas, offer a glimpse into its past. The campground is located eight miles north of Seney National Wildlife Refuge via M-77 North.
