Dyea Flats Campground is a division of the Public Works Department, responsible for the maintenance of the municipal trail systems, public cemeteries, and the Dyea Flats campground. The campground is a beautiful alpine lake surrounded by greenery, perfect for kayaking or other water activities. The Skagway Trails Map, Trails List and Map, Dyea Flats Campground Rules and Map, and the Complete Skagway Comprehensive Trails Plan are available for download. The campground is maintained by the Parks and Recreation department, which also oversees the maintenance of parks and recreation facilities, municipal trail systems, public cemeteries, and the SeaWalk parks. The department is responsible for ensuring that the parks and recreation facilities are well-maintained and provide a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors.
