About

Dub Patton Recreation Area is a year-round campground situated along Arkabutla Lake and Dam in the rolling hills of northwest Mississippi. The facility offers 59 family sites with electric hookups, along with two group day-use shelters, creating a comfortable camping experience with amenities including flush toilets, showers, and drinking water. The campground is nestled among a shady forest of oak, hickory, beech, sweet gum, and birch trees on the waterfront. Arkabutla Lake is renowned for offering some of the best sailing east of the Mississippi River and is a popular destination for fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, and biking. The surrounding area features extensive wildlife management lands totaling 30,000 acres where visitors can hunt for whitetail deer, wild turkeys, quail, and waterfowl, while several interpretive nature trails educate visitors about the local ecosystem.
