Welcome to California State Parks. Our mission is to provide for the health, inspiration, and education of the people of California by helping to preserve the state's extraordinary biological diversity, protecting its most valued natural and cultural resources, and creating opportunities for high-quality outdoor recreation. We offer various programs, including grants, interpretive programs, and outdoor youth connection. You can also explore our parks, make reservations, and buy annual passes. Our new reservation system, ReserveCalifornia, improves service delivery to our visitors online and in our park units. You can start booking your next adventure with us on ReserveCalifornia. We have various annual passes available, offering something for everyone, and make great gifts throughout the year. Our parks offer a range of activities, including camping, hiking, and water sports. We continue to address interpretive programs and exhibits in California’s State Park System that fall short of fully contextualizing the state’s history. We support artists and culture bearers as they bring creativity into our shared public lands. We also have a mobile app, OuterSpatial App, making it easier to connect with nature and enhance access for all to the nation’s largest state park system. Our Virtual Adventurer App allows you to experience California's cultural heritage and natural world using the latest augmented and virtual reality technology. We are committed to increasing access and relevance to outdoor recreation offerings and better serve the diverse and growing population. We are also planning for a changing landscape, addressing the effects of climate change on state parks, and working towards sustainable and resilient solutions.
