Double J Stables and Campgrounds is located off the Northeastern corner of Mammoth Cave National Park, offering direct access to over 85 miles of trails. The campsite welcomes campers with and without horses, providing water and electric sites as well as rustic sites. The campsite offers stalls, turn out area, picketing or pens for horses. The nearby Mammoth Cave National Park offers cave tours 364 days a year, and Nolin Lake recreation site is located to the North, approximately 5 miles, offering outstanding fishing and swimming. The area also features Shadlyhollow Golf Course, just 3 miles from the Stables, and Cave City, located 15 minutes from the visitor's center, offering many treats such as Guntown Mountain, Wildlife Museum, Action Park, and great restaurants. The campsite is open for business, offering guided horseback trail rides, private trail rides, and wedding and birthday party packages. Reservations are required, and the campsite is limited. The campsite has modern bathrooms, showers, and ice, and a country restaurant is just minutes away.
