Deer Group Campground is a group camping facility located in the San Bernardino National Forest, south of Big Bear Lake in Southern California's pine-covered mountains. The campground features one large group site designed for tent camping that can accommodate up to 40 people and eight vehicles, accessed via a dirt road that requires high-clearance or 4x4 vehicles. The site is situated in a secluded stand of mature conifers that provide excellent shade and a natural forest setting. The campground offers basic facilities including picnic tables, grills, and a campfire circle, along with vault toilets, though drinking water and trash collection services are not available. The location provides convenient access to numerous recreation opportunities including hiking and mountain biking trails such as the Seven Oaks Trail, which offers spectacular views of San Gorgonio Peak, as well as fishing and boating at nearby Big Bear Lake where visitors can catch trout, bluegill, crappie, catfish, and largemouth bass.
