Custer Mountain Cabins & Campground is a family-run campground located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, situated 1.5 miles east of Custer and 2 miles west of Custer State Park on Highway 16A. Spread across 50+ acres of meadow and Ponderosa pine forest nestled among the mountains, the property offers a tranquil setting for exploring the region's attractions. The campground features rough hewn log cabins accommodating groups from 4 to 14 people, with all kitchen utensils and linens provided. RV sites with full hookups are carved out of the shaded Ponderosa pine forest, while tent sites range from those close to shower and laundry facilities to remote wilderness locations. The facility is ATV-friendly with abundant trail riding opportunities in the Black Hills, and is open seasonally from May 1 through November 30.
