Creating Memories for Disabled Children is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that aims to create memories for special needs children and their families. Located on the Wallowa River, the camp offers cabins to stay in, trails to hike, waterfalls to explore, birds to watch, and a Pontoon Boat to go out on Wallowa Lake. The organization's mission is to lift spirits and change lives. Founder Ken Coreson shares the story of how he and his wife, Patti Coreson, began their journey, inspired by a raven with a broken wing and a group of ravens that came to its rescue. The camp offers a range of activities, including fishing trips on a wheelchair-accessible boat, horse-drawn buggy rides, and trips in the mountains to hunt or take pictures. Visitors can also enjoy a night around the campfire watching the stars and listening to the night sounds. The organization's goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where children with disabilities can feel included and have fun.
