Operating since 1976, it has grown from a small golf course with a few campsites to a premier long-term camping destination in Southern Illinois with 165 campsites spread across 50 acres. The property features 9 stocked ponds ideal for fishing, rolling hills, mature trees, and a peaceful creek. Cool Creek Resort specializes in long-term seasonal camping only (no overnight camping) and offers sites with electricity, city water/sewer, and data hookups for RVs and park models. The campground operates seasonally from April through mid-October and provides a family-friendly, peaceful atmosphere perfect for those looking to disconnect from the world and reconnect with loved ones.
