About

The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest offers a wide range of recreational activities, including hiking, biking, climbing, and fishing. With over 6,000 miles of trails, 177 campgrounds, and eight Wilderness areas, there is something for everyone. The Enchantments, a rugged and unique landscape within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, require overnight permits. The forest has six Ranger Districts, and visitors can explore what their public lands have to offer. The Forest Service recommends checking trailhead pages for authoritative information on pass and fee requirements, closures, and other rules. Partners' pages, such as the Washington Trails Association and the Methow Valley Trails Collaborative, provide additional information on conditions and what to expect.
