Cherry Valley Campground is situated in the central Sierra Nevada within Stanislaus National Forest, offering a peaceful camping experience in a mixed conifer forest. Located approximately 1.5 miles northeast of Cherry Valley Dam, 1 hour east of Tuolumne City, and 2.5 hours from Yosemite National Park's northwestern border, the campground provides easy access to Cherry Lake, the largest lake in the Stanislaus National Forest. The campground features 41 single and five double family sites with paved roads, each equipped with a table and campfire pit with grill. Visitors can enjoy excellent fishing opportunities for eastern brook trout, German brown trout, kokanee salmon, and rainbow trout, as well as hiking trails, boating, water sports, and swimming. The campground is generally open from the last Friday in April, weather permitting, and welcomes pets in compliance with local leash laws.
