The park offers full water, sewer, and electric hookups at each site, with no bathhouse or cable but excellent cell phone reception via Verizon. Situated on historic property once owned by five Cherokee Indian Chiefs and currently owned by the great grandson of Chief Osley Bird Saunooke, the park provides a unique cultural experience. Guests enjoy convenient access to nearby shops, restaurants, and a new brewery, while the main hiking trail to the GSMNP Visitor's Center is located across the river. The park is also known for its proximity to the elk that live next door, offering visitors a chance to experience local wildlife and Cherokee heritage.
