Cayuse Horse Camp is a specialized equestrian campground located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains within Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Designed exclusively for stock users, this 14-site facility nestles visitors in a mixed-conifer forest with stunning views of snow-capped peaks, high elevation lakes, scenic rivers, and nearby wilderness areas. Each site features a private corral accommodating up to 3 horses per single site or 4 horses per double site, along with picnic tables, campfire rings, and ample parking for vehicles and trailers. The campground provides drinking water via handpump and vault toilet facilities. Open seasonally after snow levels recede, Cayuse Horse Camp offers exceptional access to a variety of trails, including portions of the renowned Pacific Crest Trail, making it an ideal destination for horseback riding enthusiasts seeking to experience both the serene and wild aspects of the North Cascades region.
