Carthage Gap Camp is a family-owned and operated campground situated on 31.48 acres atop a rolling hill in Southeast Ohio, conveniently located between Athens and Belpre. Originally established around 1968-1972 and known locally as "Craig's Lake," the campground has been continuously improved through three generations of ownership. Currently offering 135 full hookup sites, the campground provides a peaceful retreat with spring-fed ponds ideal for fishing and swimming. Visitors can experience authentic Appalachia while remaining close to urban conveniences, with amenities including free Wi-Fi, planned activities, and a family-friendly environment perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. The campground is well-maintained and known for its welcoming owners and peaceful atmosphere.
