Carbolyn Park is a scenic campground located in eastern Kansas along Dragoon Creek, just east of Pomona Lake. The park is part of the 4,000-acre Pomona Lake reservoir and appeals to family campers, sportsmen, and water sport enthusiasts. The area features rolling hills, mixed grasslands, croplands, and forests, providing a heavily shaded, secluded setting for outdoor recreation. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound, with bald eagles, white-tailed deer, Canada geese, wild turkey, and various fish species present. The park offers excellent fishing and boating opportunities, along with access to nearby hiking trails including the popular 33-mile Black Hawk Trail loop. A visitor center nearby provides educational displays about the lake and its environment.
