This rustic campground, nestled along the 34-acre Canoe Lake, offers exceptional fishing and paddling. With four lakeside campsites, ideal for tents and small trailers, it's a haven for those seeking solitude. Enjoy the added bonus of being less than 10 miles from the stunning Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The operation of an ORV and snowmobile between the campground and nearby trails, including Trail 8, is allowed. The campground is located 18.3 miles northeast of Shingleton via H-15, Adams Trail, H-52 and County Road 454. These rustic campgrounds offer stunning river and lakefront settings, perfect for fishing, boating, and paddling. No reservations are available, and sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Potable (drinking) water is available from a hand-pump well, and overnight fees ($20 for most sites) and registration procedures are posted at the information kiosk at each campground.
