Canadian Campground is located at Canton Lake in northwest Oklahoma on the North Canadian River, just 2.5 miles from the town of Canton. This popular destination offers 120 family sites with electrical hookups, making it an ideal base for camping, fishing, boating, and hunting. The campground features excellent facilities including flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, two dump stations, three boat ramps, and a playground. Canton Lake is particularly known for its walleye fishing opportunities and hosts the annual Walleye Rodeo fishing derby in mid-May, which draws thousands of visitors for a 4-day event. The scenic setting features native trees such as eastern cottonwood, post and blackjack oak, and black willow, supplemented with shade species like American elm, sycamore, and silver maple. Beyond fishing, visitors can enjoy water sports including personal watercraft, tubing, water skiing, and swimming on the lake's gently sloping sandy beaches.
