The Confluence Campground is located approximately 20 miles west of Williston and is just down the road from the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center. It is also close to the Fort Buford State Historic Site and the Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site. The campground is managed by the Williams County Water Resource District Board. The Confluence Campground is a popular location during paddlefish snagging season, which is from May 1 - 21 each year. Camping is first come, first served, and stays are limited to 14 days, per North Dakota Game & Fish rules. The campground offers electric campsites and primitive camping options, with fees payable by cash or check only at the pay post located onsite.
