Camp Wyanokie is a rustic 150-acre family campground located in West Milford, New Jersey, featuring a pristine 5-acre lake and miles of hiking trails at the edge of Norvin Green State Forest. Gifted to five local towns (Caldwell, Fairfield, North Caldwell, Roseland, and West Caldwell) in 1972, the camp has been a cherished destination since 1919. This is a true wilderness camping experience with no RVs allowed, no electricity, running water, or WiFi—only authentic tent camping with rustic amenities including lean-to shelters, fire rings, charcoal grills, and two outhouses. The property offers more than 10 individual campsites plus group camping areas, a covered picnic pavilion, and excellent opportunities for fishing, birdwatching, hiking, and exploring nature with opportunities to spot tadpoles, salamanders, and various fish species in the lake.
