About
The Mississippi Riverlands Council serves Scouts in Central, East and Southwest Mississippi since 1937. The council was formed by the merger of the Andrew Jackson Council and the Choctaw Area Council in March 2026. It aims to better serve 28 counties in the region. The council offers various activities and resources for Scouts, including summer camps, weekend events, and venues for activities. Scouts can also join the council through the BeAScout website. The council has two service centers in Jackson and Meridian, and can be connected with through social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
