Camp Sherrye on the Coosa is a brand new campground and RV park located directly on the Coosa River in Wetumpka, Alabama. The park features level, manicured pull-through, back-in, and pull-in campsites designed to accommodate everything from small campers to large RVs, including travel trailers, fifth wheel campers, and motorhomes. Many sites include concrete patios and are positioned right on the river. The park is ideal for water sports enthusiasts, offering easy-to-access kayak and canoe access, a kayak ramp, and a sand bar next to a screened pavilion. The Coosa River, named from the Creek word for "rumbling waters," features unique rock islands said to be created by a nearby meteorite impact. Amenities include a new bathhouse with restrooms and showers, a dog park, and full hookup sites with water, sewer, and electric. The park is open year-round and offers weekly stay and military discounts.
