Camp Kirchenwald is a Lutheran camping facility located on 340 acres of scenic undeveloped timberland in Colebrook, Pennsylvania, adjacent to 4,000 acres of State Game Lands. Since 1969, the camp has provided children with a unique experience focused on adventure trip camps and growth through challenge. The facility offers a variety of activities including Bible study, worship, nature activities, games, and challenging events such as a climbing tower, climbing wall, ropes course, lake activities, and sports. Campers can participate in adventure trips to destinations like the Adirondack Mountains and Assateague Island, Maryland. Beyond summer camp programs, Kirchenwald operates year-round with spring, winter, and fall programs, and its facilities are available for rental use throughout the year. The camp is accredited by the American Camp Association, ensuring compliance with research-based standards for staff qualifications, water safety, food services, health care, and emergency management.
