Camp Jackson Scout Reservation is a 515-acre Boy Scout camp located in the Appalachian foothills of north Alabama, nestled between Sand Mountain and the Tennessee River near Scottsboro. The camp features over 10 miles of hiking trails leading to scenic waterfalls and the Pinnacle, the highest point in Jackson County, which offers panoramic views of the Tennessee River Valley. Visitors can enjoy excellent fishing from the camp's docks using available canoes, as well as activities including mountain boards, pump track bikes, and swimming. While primarily a primitive camping facility, Camp Jackson provides several platform tents and buildings for groups and families. Units and families wishing to use the camp are required to submit a Camp Use permit to the Birmingham Scout Office.
