The League's Camping & Recreation Program was created to meet the needs of children and adults with physical, emotional, and cognitive disabilities in 1937. Our Camping & Recreation Program has year-round traditional, weekend, and travel sessions for all individuals with disabilities. We offer a variety of outdoor recreational services including camping. As one of the oldest residential camps in America designed specifically for people with special needs, Camp Greentop is accredited by the American Camp Association and is licensed by the State of Maryland for Youth Camp Certification. Campers experience joy as they encounter life-changing experiences, build meaningful relationships with other participants, staff, and volunteers. Family members and participants get to create lasting memories throughout the DMV region and beyond! Together, we are able to create a judgment-free recreational environment that is physically, socially, and intellectually enriching for all individuals with disabilities.
