Originally established as a scout camp in 1925 through the generosity of John G. Anderson and C. L. Hicks, the property is now operated by the Camp Anderson Corporation, a private nonprofit organization. The camp offers tent camping, cabins for rent, and a handicap-accessible site, with a primary trout stream running through the property that provides fishing opportunities. The facility serves as an ideal destination for camping weekends, training centers, reunions, and weddings.
