The Huron-Manistee National Forests offer a variety of recreation opportunities, including camping and cabins. Dogs are welcome on the forest, given that applicable rules are followed and proper etiquette is practiced. The forest service waives recreation fees at most day-use sites on lands managed by the agency. The forest is home to a diverse range of wildlife and offers scenic views and opportunities for outdoor recreation such as biking, fishing, hiking, horse riding and camping, hunting and shooting, and off-highway vehicles. The forest is located in the Huron-Manistee National Forests, which is managed by the USDA Forest Service.
