Bucksaw Campground is situated on a scenic peninsula along the Grand River Arm of Harry S. Truman Lake in the hills of western Missouri. This large campground offers 146 campsites with varying levels of amenities, making it an excellent destination for all types of water recreation. The campground features well-shaded sites with expansive grassy areas and excellent lake views, along with modern facilities including flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, laundry facilities, and a dump station. Visitors can enjoy a boat ramp, playground, and swimming beach, plus a mile-long hiking trail across the road. The area is rich with wildlife including whitetail deer, turkey, hawks, ospreys, eagles, and water birds, while the lake is abundant with crappie, bass, walleye, paddlefish, and catfish, making it popular for both casual anglers and tournament fishermen.
