Pinckney Recreation Area is a must-visit destination for campers, mountain bikers, anglers, and other recreation enthusiasts. The area features a terminal moraine formed during the last glaciation period, with diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. The park has an extensive trail system, with over 40 miles of multi-use trails that take visitors through lush forests and along sparkling lakes. Visitors can enjoy picnicking, swimming, boating, and relaxing by the water at the Silver Lake and Halfmoon Lake units.
