Broad River Campground is located on the south bank of the Broad River where it joins the Savannah River, on Clarks Hill - J. Strom Thurmond Lake, the largest Corps of Engineers lake east of the Mississippi River. This quiet, rural campground is situated in a very historic area near the now-flooded town of Petersburg in Lincoln County, Georgia. The campground features 31 sites including 7 double sites and 2 triple sites, along with amenities such as a boat ramp, dump stations, electrical hook-ups, shower/bath house, and fish cleaning stations. Visitors can enjoy fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and relaxing by the water while experiencing the natural beauty of Georgia pines and hardwoods. The peaceful setting offers an escape from busy interstate noise, with only the sounds of nature and opportunities for family bonding around campfires.
