About

Boy Scout Campground is a primitive camping facility located southwest of Grantsville, Utah, in South Willow Canyon within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest at an elevation of 6,320 feet. The remote desert canyon is forested with oak, maple, and juniper trees that provide partial shade, and Willow Creek flows through the site. The campground offers access to excellent recreational opportunities including the multi-use Stansbury Front Trail and Medina Flat Trail, which provide access to the rugged Deseret Peak Wilderness, as well as fishing for rainbow and brown trout in Willow Creek. Visitors can also enjoy the scenic South Willow Canyon Road drive, which winds through interesting narrows and is noted for fantastic wildlife viewing. The campground is situated in bear country, requiring visitors to follow strict food storage and wildlife safety protocols.
